One thing was clear from the outset: the exterior styling had to be bold and majestic, strongly influenced by a new interpretation of “streamlined” industrial design, famously popularized in the mid-20th century by Raymond Loewy. The yacht also had to have walkaround decks at each level to enhance outdoor life and ease docking and cleaning. Much of the practical conception centered around the client’s desire for discreet tender stowage and easy tender handling.
